Designed to replace the Ferrari 456, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti is a 2+2 grand tourer manufactured by Ferrari from 2004 through 2010. Straying away from the normal naming convention of previous Ferrari models, the 612 received its name due to the location where the body was manufactured—the Carrozzeria Scaglietti plant.

The 612 was the second all-aluminum model manufactured by Ferrari, the first being the Ferrari 360 Modena. The V12 engine used in the 612, although similar to the Ferrari 575 Superamerica, had a higher compression ratio resulting in a top speed of 199 miles per hour. The 612 Scaglietti was able to accelerate from 0 to 62 MPH in four seconds. A 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automated manual transmission were the two transmission options for the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.

Following the launch of their one-to-one (OTO) personalization program in early 2008, the 612 was only available through a special ordering process. Manufacturing of the 612 lasted until 2011 with a total of 3,052 vehicles manufactured. The Ferrari FF debuted at the Geneva Motor Show as the successor to the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti.
