Replacing the Ferrari 308 GT4 and Ferrari 208 GT4 coupes, the Ferrari Mondial models were manufactured from 1980 to 1993. This mid engined V8 sports car was the last 2+2 road car manufactured by Ferrari. The name Mondial, in french, means global and reflects the conformance to the new global safety and emissions standards of 1980.

The Ferrari Mondial 3.2 was manufactured from 1986 to 1988 and was available in both a coupe and cabriolet, or convertible. Throughout the manufacturing run in the Mondial class, the engine was updated several times to enhance performance. The Mondial 3.2 featured a 3.2L V8 engine that was capable of producing a maximum of 270 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 224 foot pounds of torque at 5,500 rpm. The Ferrari Mondial 3.2 could accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds.

Of the 1,797 total Mondial 3.2’s that were created from 1986 through 1988, only 536 were imported into the United States with the majority being the cabriolet version.
