Replacing the Ferrari 575M, the Ferrari 599, or the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, debuted at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. The front engine grand tourer sports car manufactured by Ferrari was produced from 2006 through 2012.
Powered by a 6.0 liter 12-cylinder engine capable of producing a maximum power output of 612 horsepower and 448 foot pounds of torque, the Ferrari 599 was the most powerful Ferrari production road car produced. With a top speed of 205 mph, the Ferrari 599 could accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.7 seconds. The 599 was originally offered with a traditional 6-speed manual transmission prior to moving to a 6-speed automatic paddle shift transmission known as the F1 SuperFast.
There were several variations of the 599 that were created throughout the production run. The Ferrari 599 was replaced by the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta in 2016.
