The targa-topped version of the Ferrari 308, the 308 GTS debuted at the 1977 Frankfurt Motor Show. The mid-engine V8, two-seater sports car featured a new steel body and a wet sump engine. It is truly one of the most classic cars of all time.
The Ferrari 308 GTS was made famous by the television show, Magnum P.I. in 1980. There were several cars used throughout the eight-year run of the show, all of which were from the 308 product line. Notably, one of the 308’s driven in the show during the 1984 season was sold at auction for $181,500 in 2017. The Ferrari 308 GTS was also used in the movie The Cannon Ball Run in 1981.
