308 GTBi GTSi Parts

Very few changes were made when Ferrari started manufacturing the Ferrari 308 GTBi and Ferrari 308 GTSi in 1980. Seemingly identical to the 308 GTB & 308 GTS on the outside, the GTBi and GTSi featured a mechanical Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection system and electronic ignition system. While these updates were made to decrease the emissions, it also decreased the power of this two-seat sports car. Only 494 models of the 308 GTBis and 1,743 GTSis were manufactured prior to the introduction of the Ferrari 308 Q.V. (quattrovalvole) in 1982.
Similar to the 308 GTB, the 308 GTSi was popularized by its use in pop culture. One of the most iconic cars on TV, Magnum P.I. used a Ferrari 308 GTSi in seasons 2 through 6 of filming. Similarly, the 308 GTSi made an appearance in the movie National Lampoon’s Vacation.
